The structural program for the 8,000 sf building was to create an open noncombustible structure. The structural system is composed of steel deck over exposed open web steel trusses supported by steel beams, columns, and steel stud bearing walls. The lateral resisting system utilizes steel braced frames. A major design element is the curved roof; this was accomplished using radius top chord trusses. Another unique feature of the building is the cantilevered porte-cochere on the west. Construction cost was $2.1 million.
