| Temple de Hirsch
Seattle, Washington
A FEMA 178 evaluation of an existing
temple and educational facility for determining the
parameters of a capital improvement campaign. The project
involved four separate structures. The sanctuary and
chapel are two-story structures with two-level roofs.
In each case, the two-level roof was constructed of
structural steel clad with pre-cast panels supported
by a reinforced concrete podium. The building that currently
houses the Seattle Academy is a two-story reinforced
concrete structure. The Jaffe Religious School is a
two-story wood framed structure with exterior load bearing
unreinforced masonry walls.
